Update: $15 Million Goal Exceeded!

To assure that we continue meeting the rapidly growing needs of the Santa Maria Valley area, Marian Regional Medical Center is building a new hospital. This will enhance even further the quality, compassionate care provided by Marian and enable us to meet the community's needs now and in the future. Marian Regional Medical Center has served the people of Santa Maria and the Central Coast since its founding in 1940 by the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity. As medical needs have changed, we have met them. As new medical technologies have emerged, we have brought them to our patients.

With the Cornerstone Campaign, we have the opportunity to transform what began as a rural clinic into a 21st Century hospital. This will enable Marian to better serve our community, continue recruiting the best medical professionals and enhance the good lives we enjoy. Central to the new hospital will be a 191-bed acute care patient tower with private rooms, wireless access for patients and families, an expanded emergency room and a new neonatal intensive care unit for babies needing special care.

Through the Cornerstone Campaign, we're not only increasing the size of Marian, we're increasing our ability to provide the highest quality health care for the residents of Santa Maria and the surrounding area.
