Marian Regional Medical Center’s history began in 1940 when the Sisters of Saint Francis founded Our Lady of Perpetual Help Hospital. The hospital’s mission then, as now, is to further the healing ministry of Jesus and deliver compassionate, quality, and affordable health care. In 1963, patient demand exceeded the capacity of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Hospital and Marian Hospital opened in 1967. The Medical Center’s evolution through the latter half of the 20th Century was marked by innovation and expansion. The new Marian Regional Medical Center facility opened to the community in 2012, offering the latest in service and advanced technology to further enhance quality care provided to patients and their families. Today, and as always, Marian remains committed to providing exceptional medical care to the people of the Santa Maria Valley and surrounding communities.
