What is Day of Hope?

Dignity Health, in partnership with the Santa Maria Times, is proud to present Day of Hope, an annual day of giving to benefit local patients with cancer and their families served by Mission Hope Cancer Center. On Day of Hope, hundreds of volunteers hit the streets to collect donations in exchange for a limited edition, commemorative Day of Hope newspaper. All proceeds from Day of Hope benefit patients with cancer and their families receiving treatment at Mission Hope Cancer Center. Funds directly support:

• Equipment and Technology

• Patient Assistance Needs

• Programs and Services

Day of Hope Car Show

The Day of Hope Car Show is scheduled for August 22, the Saturday BEFORE Day of Hope, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The event will take place directly outside Mission Hope Cancer Center in Santa Maria. This community event will showcase a variety of vehicles, from classic cars to custom builds, along with food trucks, select vendors, live music, awards, and more. All proceeds from the event are directly allocated to support Mission Hope Cancer Center in Santa Maria.
