Emergency Services Expansion Project

Since 2012, Marian’s Emergency Department has grown from seeing 4,000 patient visits per month to more than 6,400, resulting in an excess of 77,622 Emergency visits annually - an increase of 37%. To provide our community with the facilities, technology, and medical experts of the future, the Marian Foundation initiated the Emergency Services Expansion Project to raise $2.5 million. Marian Family Medicine Residency Program

Family Medicine Residency Program

In response to the growing national shortage of family medicine physicians, Marian instituted a family medicine residency program to build a strong primary care infrastructure for Santa Maria and the Central Coast by recruiting and retaining physicians to the region. The Marian Family Medicine Residency Program provides a landmark opportunity to improve primary care access in order to produce the best possible community health outcomes. The Marian Family Medicine Residency Program is a dually-accredited, three-year, post-graduate program and is affiliated with the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC) and Western University.  Due to the tremendous success of the program, Marian Regional Medical Center earned accreditation to begin an Obstetrics and Gynecological Residency Program in 2018.  Read more

The opening of Marian’s Cardiac Interventional Hybrid Suite marks the official completion of Phase I of the medical center’s Heart Center Expansion Project. As the centerpiece of the Heart Center Expansion Project, the Cardiac Interventional Hybrid Suite features leading-edge surgical technology paired with highly sophisticated imaging capabilities. Phase II expanded cardiac care with the transformation of the medical center's original cardiac catheterization laboratory into a modern facility with sophisticated electrophysiology technology for cardiac rhythm management.  Read more

The entire Mission Hope Cancer Center team has devoted their lives to oncology because they want to save lives—to treat cancer patients not as numbers, charts or symptoms, but as human beings worthy of the best care and greatest compassion. As one of only three accredited Comprehensive Community Cancer Center programs between Los Angeles and San Francisco, Mission Hope Cancer Center features advanced, lifesaving technology and physicians from the nation’s top medical schools and training programs. This state-of-the-art cancer center is the first integrated oncology facility on the Central Coast, uniting Santa Maria oncology treatment, imaging, research, education, and support services at one convenient location for patients and families.
